This dining room DIY is dedicated to my mom, who fought cancer like a champ and made time around the dinner table magical. It’s not easy to think about what cancer didn’t take from me, because often it feels like it took it all.

I love how this easy holiday DIY turned out! I prefer a flocked Christmas tree but everything I had seen in store looked like it’s been rolled in dust so I decided to make it myself. This is an easy project for beginners and you can also try it on wreaths and garlands.

Whether you rent or you own, cute decor will leave you with small holes to repair. This is the one product you want to have on hand to make this project easy.

I was honored to be invited back to the White House as a holiday decorator. Alongside 300 volunteers, I helped transform multiple rooms into a winter wonderland! We used 98 trees, approximately 14,975 feet of ribbon, over 350 candles, over 33,892 ornaments, and over 22,100 bells to decorate the White House.

This sunroom renovation was the first big project we tackled in our home. From the moment we bought the house I felt the potential. For my very first One Room Challenge, I set out to transform our sunroom with bold paint, plants, and boho touches.

Last year, I got to visit The White House to help decorate for the holiday season. I was surprised how much of this seasonal display is hand made by artists and volunteers.
